Pancakes On The Rocks - Sydney, Australia

First time in Sydney, I landed in pretty late at night and if you've ever been to this part of the world, most restaurants and stalls are usually closed pretty early. What we have in Malaysia is truly a privilege and a blessing. Mamak food is what we usually have for supper back at home. Over here, its pancakes. My cousin always brings me here whenever I'm in town and my tummy is always left happy whenever I leave this place.

Strawberry Patch ($15.95)

If you love strawberries and something fruity, this is for you! Can you see the amount of strawberries on my plate?! That spells GENEROSITY. Their pancakes here are thick and definitely, this plate is for sharing unless... you're a person who can eat pancakes as a whole meal. Pancakes were fluffy and filling, the strawberry coulis on top was hot and sweet, but not too sweet. Strawberries were all halved and so fresh!

Pancakes with Nutella ($16.95)

The same pancakes! Light and fluffy with a generous slab of Nutella right between two pancakes! Their vanilla ice cream on both pancakes is just a nice cold treat that gives contrast to the pipping hot cakes! Creamy deliciousness that's super indulging... and who doesn't like ice-cream anyways? These pancakes when paired with Nutella which can be a little thick and rich for most people so bear that in mind before ordering! Love the hazelnut garnish that just adds a nice crunch and gives an addition to the texture.

 Ribeye Steak ($32.95)

I'm not one who will usually order steak when I'm out. I'm more of a fish and chips girl but I'm totally fine with the idea of ordering steak. I feel like steak is a treat so my thoughts are - I will only eat steak on a special occasion. My cousins are steak lovers so we ordered this, a caesar salad and some pancakes to share among ourselves. This ribeye was soooooo juicy and meaty! I loved every single bite I took. Their fries are different than the usual, more like thick chips in a swirly form and a normal salad on the side. The char from the grill marks were just pure smoky flavour! The meat was cook well to out liking and there was no gamey smell upon it being served and indulged. THUMBS UP! 

I know there are only 3 pictures here, I will be sure to update this blog when I have a chance to visit Sydney again. Other than the food, this diner-styled restaurant is open 24/7 every single day! WHAT!? If you've just had a drink and a long night, this is your place to go. Their waiters here are very friendly and attentive to our needs. The food served over here just says comfort. I just feel comfort. It was not crazy mind-blowingly good but, it hits all the right spots to be satisfied.
