Ribs & Burgers - Sydney, Australia

I'll always make my way down to the Sydney Opera House whenever I'm in town. While taking a stroll with my friends, we were hungry and a friend reckoned we try Ribs and Burgers which was not far from where we were. So we made our way there.

Old School Cheese ($11.9)
This was my first time here and they already had me at burgers... I'm a sucker when it comes to burgers. Beef patties will always be my first choice. A cheeseburger though... is hard to say no to. This was a average cheeseburger... would have preferred if the patties were a little more loosen up if that makes sense? Maybe the meat was over mixed so it is not as crumbly and juicy as I'd like it to be. The bun was a little hard to my usual liking. Not the best cheeseburger, sadly.

Sweet Potato Chips - Small ($4)
I am also a die-hard-fan of sweet potato fries. I love how it's so easily available at any restaurant or stall in any part of Australia as it is a healthier option if you would to compare with normal French fries. I don't feel a teeny bit of guilt whenever I savor them. The sweet potato fries here are super flavoursome! No soggy fries here alright. It also comes with a side of garlic aioli (we even requested for extra) that pairs just perfectly together. Love a good aioli! Mega thumbs up from me!

Beef Ribs - Regular ($26.9)
These ribs come with a choice of either their home made famous chips or a apple and cabbage slaw. The ribs here are basted with their signature BBQ sauce and they were finger licking delicious! Nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of flavour which I appreciated. Sometimes simple is good and these ribs were the perfect example of fall off the bone tender. Not too tender that it has a mushy mouthfeel yet still holding its shape. We went with their apple and cabbage slaw that was crisp and fresh in flavour that it just cuts through their hearty ribs. A good balance but I have to say, the slaw wasn't my favourite. It was something different than what my taste buds are usually used to, maybe it was their dressing.

On two separate occasions I was seated at two different seats. First time round I was seated outdoors (love sitting outdoors!). Second time I was seated inside, Although the view from my seat was over looking Harbor Bridge, I would have still preferred sitting outdoors. Something about being seated outdoors, a very chill vibe you cannot get indoors (in my opinion).

Overall, the burgers here weren't my favourite. I reckon you go for their ribs and fries! They will not dissappoint!
