The Grounds of Alexandria - Sydney, Australia
Being a first timer in Sydney, of course I had to Google "Places to visit in Sydney" "What to eat in Sydney" and I came across The Grounds and began doing my research, with every photo I clicked I just felt a magnetic attraction. I had 2 days in Sydney so I thought why not give this place a go, right?

Dare I say every corner at The Grounds was utilized so uniquely and different that I felt like I was in Fairy World. I truly felt like a little girl again. If you're looking for a place to take photos.. this is it! I've seen so many wedding shoots being shot here and every photo looks so bomb!

Guys... they also have a legit florist in the middle of their cafe! WHAT! An amazing assortment of flowers that are just crying in colour for a home to be in. At this stage... I was wondering what does The Grounds not have?

This may sound confusing, but there are a few places to dine within "The Café", I happened to be at The Takeaway Bar so I ordered from there. There is quite a crowd here over the weekend so make sure you plan your visit!

There is also a Bakery and Patisserie within The Café. My oh my, such talented bakers! They are also said to always experiment with their baking creations, so the next time you come there might be a slight change in the menu, but its all for the greater good.
You can even purchase freshly baked delights, house-made jam, coffee that is roasted in-house, granola and custom made home-wares!

Avocado Toast ($13)
Addition of Bacon ($3)
At The Café, it was a no brainer for me to order Avocado Toast, duh. A classic Australian brunch dish that I never fail to order whenever I visit. I added bacon for some saltiness. Presentation was on point, and now my "its too pretty to eat" thoughts were echoing in my head every time I tried to dig in. They were very generous with their avocado and tomatoes, I added bacon and I must say I did not expect the generous serving. The little wedge of lime when squeezed all over just elevates the dish in adding some zest!

Hot Chocolate ($3.5)
When you're in a country that is rich in dairy quality, you obviously must have their coffee, hot chocolate, milk shakes, ice cream or if you're simple, a glass of fresh milk. If I had to chose between coffee or hot chocolate, I'd prefer the latter. The hot chocolate tasted good, not too sweet and not too rich in consistency and just the right amount of foam dusted with some cocoa powder to finish. Their hot chocolate presentation if you're dining at The Cafe is pretty outstanding!

While I was sitting in The Garden enjoying the music and people-watching, across me sat a girl named Yun Qian. She introduced herself and approached me since she and I seemed to be the only ones without company in a room filled with many friends and family. She is also from Singapore! Immediately we clicked and deep down in my heart I felt like a piece of home was brought to me in a foreign land. A blessing in disguise.

Yun Qian who was so very sweet and kind to me asked if I wanted any donuts and of course the little indulgent girl in me said yes. She did not even take a cent from me! She refused and insist it be a treat. Thank you so much Yun Qian, you were really God-sent in a really unfamiliar place. We even took the bus and train to Bondi Beach together and afterwards because I had no 3G, she gave me exact directions and possible changes (just in case) and I thankfully arrived my hotel safely. What a crazy fun day with a stranger.

Their donut batter is so good! No complains at all! This is a really good donut in terms of texture and airiness! It’s neither too dense nor is it too light. Just the perfect bite! It comes in 3 flavours. Stuffed with either Nutella, jam or plain cinnamon. Chocolate lovers.. or should I say Nutella.. this is your donut!

Jam stuffed mini donut
Again, if you’re more of a fruity person, their house-made jam brings a nice acidity! Some tartness to get your tastebuds moving!

The Grounds Farm
I was so amazed to see animals here! I hope you can tell how alpha this piggy is! Piggy is named Kevin Bacon and he is easily the biggest piggy I've seen in real life. They also have other animals like goats and chickens!

If you can't already tell, the theme for that day was all about Kevin Bacon. From the piggy shaped bushes and flags to the beautiful pink roses. The props team did an amazing job! Bravo and job well done!

Every once in awhile the props team will change the decor of the area according to a theme. I've seen Frozen, Maleficent, The Garden of Sweets and so many other themes! It is really amazing to see the same space being spruced up differently. Kids will love it here!

I have to say that of all the places I've been to, The Grounds ticks most things off my list. From its Bakery and Patisserie, garden, florist, coffee roastery all the way to its animal farm.. this is really a one stop everything place! Perfect for everyone! Bring your kids, family, grandparents and friends here and they will enjoy every second! This is the place to be.
